Mini College Fair Bridges High School Students to the Future

Over the last two weeks, the north gym became a gateway to the future for Wantagh High School juniors and seniors. This year’s annual mini-college fair took place on September 15 and 22 giving students the opportunity to speak to admissions counselors face to face.
The Guidance Department at Wantagh High School, led by new Director of Guidance and Counseling Christopher Nyberg, is bringing opportunity to students to ensure the class of 2027 has the information and access to opportunities available to them.
The fair brought approximately 100 colleges and universities over a two-week period giving students the opportunity to speak with representatives from institutions as close as Adelphi, Molloy, and LIU to those as far away as Florida Institute of Technology, North Carolina State University, and UMASS Lowell. Representatives from the Long Island Nail Skin & Hair Institute, New York State Police, NYPD, NYC District Council of Carpenters, and Wantagh Fire Department were also in attendance to share their career opportunities post graduation.
