Our district continues enhance our facilities, and we are dedicated to providing safe, innovative, and supportive learning and extracurricular environments for all students. By working together, we can ensure that every student has the resources and surroundings they need to succeed.
Proposed Projects
Playground Updates
The bond proposal includes elementary playgrounds replacements districtwide - $2,080,000
District Auditorium Renovation
The proposal supports the arts and year-round activities, the bond includes the district auditorium renovation - $5,310,000
Wantagh High School Band/Choir Building Addition
One of the most significant investments in the bond proposal is the addition of the new band/choir building on the high school campus. - $8,145,000
Wantagh Elementary School UPK Classroom Addition
The bond proposal includes the addition of a UPK 6 classroom addition - $5,770,000
Varsity Athletic Fields
The bond includes varsity athletic fields at Wantagh High School - $20,325,500
New Athletic Barn at Wantagh High School
The bond inlcudes a new Athletic Barn at Wantagh High School - $ 5,192,000
JV Athletic Fields at Forest Lake
The bond includes renovation of JV athletic fields at Forest Lake - $14,407,500
Elementary School Classroom Bathrooms
Complete 10 elementary classroom bathrooms - $1,700,000
Districtwide Maintenance Building
The bond includes a districtwide maintenance building - $2,475,000
District Wide Asphalt Paving / Curb Work
Replace existing asphalt and sidewalks across the district - $1,545,000
District Wide Security Upgrades
Install additional security fencing and exterior card access gates for parking lots. Install exterior security booths - $500,000
Districtwide Plumbing Upgrades
Replace existing plumbing underneath the buildings - $950,000
Athletic Fields at Mandalay Elementary
The bond includes irrigation and seeding at Mandalay Elementary fields - $350,000
Districtwide Elementary School Window Replacements
The bond includes districtwide elementary school window replacements - $1,100,000
Bond Amount: $69,850,000
Estimated Tax Impact: $27 per month on the average home
Use of Funds: Capital Improvements Districtwide
Projects will be completed in phases to minimize disruption to students.
The district is committed to responsible stewardship of bond funds through independent audits, voter-approved project tracking, and regular public updates.
