DISTRICT SAYS FAREWELL TO RETIRING STAFF

The district congratulated 14 administrators, faculty and staff who announced their retirement at various board of education meetings during the 2018-19 school year. Superintendent of Schools John McNamara congratulated and thanked the retiring faculty for their dedication to Wantagh students as well as their service and commitment to the community.

The district congratulates the following individuals:

 

Administration: Assistant Superintendent for Business Adriana Silver (6 years) and Wantagh Middle School Principal Dawn Matrochano (14 years)

 

Instructional Faculty:

Patricia Kelly – supportive reading and math – Mandalay (17 years)

Ann Sallustro – elementary education teacher – Mandalay (13 years)

Cheryl Schwartz – elementary education teacher – Mandalay (25 years)

 

Non-instructional staff:

Andrea Distler – senior typist clerk – middle school (19 years)

Vincent Duwe – head custodian – Mandalay (32 years)

Michael Golden – custodian – high school (38 years)

Peter Held – district auto mechanic (36 years)

Fern Miller – district senior accountant (35 years)

Christopher Norman – cleaner – high school (16 years)

Patricia Passcarella – senior typist clerk – high school (20 years)

Maureen Reicherter – teacher aide – Forest Lake (14 years)

Susan Ruffini – teacher aide – middle school (23 years)
