WANTAGH’S TOP ACHIEVERS RECOGNIZED DURING SENIOR AWARDS
The district’s top seniors were recognized for their scholarship, community service, overcoming hardships and enthusiasm for extracurricular activities during the annual senior awards ceremony, held in the high school auditorium on May 29.
During this cherished tradition, more than 100 celebrated students received scholarship money from local community businesses and organizations, as well as special honors from government officials.
Wantagh High School Principal Carolyn Breivogel congratulated the students on their years of work ethic during the past four years and thanked the teachers and parents for their dedication to education. To the students she said, “You always hear me say that your name is your most prized possession, and this evening we will pay tribute to all of your names.”
Through a commitment to educational excellence in a secure, supportive environment, the Wantagh Public Schools shall inspire students to develop a strong sense of individual worth and respect for others, to become lifelong learners and independent thinkers, and to fulfill themselves as concerned citizens in a diverse world.
