NEW ACADEMIC CHALLENGES FOR WANTAGH'S CLASS OF 2025
Forest Lake, Mandalay and Wantagh elementary school fifth-graders marked an academic milestone as the attended individual moving up ceremonies, held in the high school auditorium. The celebrations were punctuated with photo montages and video presentations, in addition to special musical performances that added to the sentimental occasions.
Principals Anthony Ciuffo, Marie Pisicchio and Dr. Randee Bonagura congratulated the students on this academic achievement and noted that they have the tools to succeed in the middle school.
Dr. Bonagura told the Wantagh Elementary School graduates that it has been a privilege and pleasure to know them. She also encouraged them to “work hard, be humble, smile, get involved, follow the Golden Rule and always be willing to keep learning.”
Upon the conclusion of the ceremonies, the graduates joined family and friends for refreshments, at which time they thanked their teachers and said goodbye to classmates until the fall.
Through a commitment to educational excellence in a secure, supportive environment, the Wantagh Public Schools shall inspire students to develop a strong sense of individual worth and respect for others, to become lifelong learners and independent thinkers, and to fulfill themselves as concerned citizens in a diverse world.
